He wagers a friend he can teach her “proper” English, but Ms. Doolittle only agrees in order to improve her job prospects (and a way out of the streets.) Higgins and Eliza clash while unknowingly developing a bond that turns romantic, (especially when FREDDIE, an eligible aristocratic suitor comes along!)
